A US nuclear submarine transited the Panama Canal in the early hours of Monday, April 17, according to the Panama Canal Authority. The ship was transported from north to south at 8:00 am and during its transit was escorted by a patrol boat of the National Aeronaval Service (Senan), as established by the navigation protocol for this type of vessel.
The ACP has also reported that between 3 and 4 submarines that can be from any country, as it is a maritime route that is open to the maritime world, transits through the waters of the Panama Canal. I suppose it could be considered an open passage even for a Russian or any other nations subs, I wonder if the leinholder [ whoever currently ” rules the roost ” ] charges anything to transit the Canal…
Aware that genius Carter ceded the Canal back to Panama by some chicanery, who pays who to maintain and operate the Canal anymore ??
