In the past few days, five volcanoes have erupted in the Pacific Region, including the coast of Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico, Ecuador, and Peru. The coastlines of the nations in the Pacific Ocean area form what is known as the Ring of Fire. It is termed this because of the increased earthquake and volcanic activity that happens in these areas. Increased earthquake activity can be a pre-cursor to volcanic eruptions.
One report shows that the five volcanoes are steadily increasing in ash eruptions and seismic activity.
When Jesus was on earth, He gave us signs of the end times. One of them is “There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven” (Luke 21:11). In Joel 2:30, God told us that in the last days, “I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and billows of smoke.” Increased Volcanic activity is a sign of the end; it is accompanied by earthquakes and is a fearful event for those who live near them. It throws smoke and ashes into the air so that the sky can be darkened.
These are the birth pangs of the Messiah’s return to earth.
