President Donald Trump told members of the National Governors Association Monday he is proposing a $54-billion increase in U.S. defense spending. Is the 10% buildup justified and might the president be preparing America for war? Trump told the governors the new budget will be a “public safety and national security budget.”
Beefing up U.S. defenses is part of his plan to keep Americans safe. Of course not! He is re-posturing our overall return to previous level of our military balance which Obama crippled – not to mention all the talent of leadership he fired in our military.
