She was taught the Biblical stance about marriage: one man and one woman joined together in holy matrimony. She recently confessed that in her teens she asked God to take away her homosexual desires.

Katy Perry first expressed her gift for singing in the church, but unfortunately the world pulled her away from God. When she jumped over to mainstream music, she lowered her moral standards. She accepted homosexuality as acceptable. Unfortunately, this happens to so many artists who first discovered their God-given gift for singing. We can only pray that God brings her out of Egypt.

If Katy asked “The Lord Jesus Christ” to remove this sin from her genuinely and with a contrite heart then “The Lord Jesus Christ” is faithful in “His” promise to remove this burden of sin from her”” for it is impossible for “The Lord” to lie and “He” is always faithful in keeping “His” Promises (AMEN)!!!!!!! Katy Perry has alot more problems than just homsexuality.She seems to think she is above everyone else which she surely isn’t.Just another hollywood elite that thinks her shit don’t stink.Anyone that would praise hitlary for her corrupt career has somewhat of weird sense of humor and moral problem.Maybe she will figure it out in due time.
This is a highly misleading headline and story. It says nothing about her actually being homosexual. I also believe that what consenting adults do within their homes is no ones business but theirs. And show me where Jesus said anything about homosexuality.
The key to understanding how to overcome is in James:
James 1:14-15
14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
Mankind’s thoughts and desires are not always pure, we are imperfect and were corrupted in man’s fall, therefore we are “tempted” and “enticed” by our own lusts. But, we do NOT have to allow those temptations to take us, we do NOT have to allow the “lust” to “conceive” and bring forth sin!
It may take years and years of patient practice of the Word of God to overcome senses lusts and desires, but meanwhile, we can recognize that a lust or desire is WRONG and no matter how much it tries to “tempt” us and “entice” us we can REFUSE to act on it and let it conceive and bring forth sin.
If you have the urge to steal things, YOU have to understand it is WRONG and DECIDE not to act on it, then it does not bring forth the actual sin of stealing.
That doesn’t mean the desire in your head goes away, it means you refuse to act on it and let it bring forth sin.
The Word teaches us that homosexuality is wrong, it is not God’s design and actually works against God’s design. So if you suffer desires and temptations to please yourself by engaging in homosexual acts, then it is up to you to recognize they are WRONG and to NOT act on them and allow them to conceive sin.
Now, regarding the actual desires, they are not SIN in themselves, they are the temptation to sin. But of course, these desires cause one to struggle because they are so strong and if we know what is RIGHT according to the Word, but our mind keeps the lust and desire alive and it keeps tempting us, we can agonize over this struggle.
We know what to do and what is right, but the corruption in us tries to entice us to do what is wrong. What did God by way of Paul say about this?
Romans 7:22-25
22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
Even the great apostle Paul struggled with temptations and desires of his old fleshly nature. The key to overcoming is to delight in the law of God after the inward man.
Once we are born again, converted, saved, we have Christ in us, the hope of glory. And the Word tells us to put on the mind of Christ, to put off the old and to put on the new. It requires years of patient discipleship to the lord Jesus Christ by way of the Word of God to renew our minds (Romans 12:1-2) to the place that the mind of Christ is formed in us and even the desires and lusts go away.
I have experienced this time and again, several areas of my life where I had wrong lusts and desires, I refused to act on them and allow them to become SIN, and even though the temptations still plagued me for years, some of them for 20 years, I just kept living the Word daily, acting on it, believing it, putting it on in my mind and eventually the wrong desires and lusts just went away, I was cleansed from the inside out by Jesus Christ and holy spirit power in me.
We lead every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. Don’t let the thought or desire win, refuse to act on it and allow it to conceive and bring forth sin. Meanwhile, keep putting off the old and putting on the new and Christ in you will purge your conscience from dead works and purify and bring forth a new mind that does not think evil thoughts and no longer tempts you in that area.
Only God’s cleansing from within is the true cleansing that makes us whole. Meanwhile, it is up to us to lead our thoughts captive and to refuse to allow the temptations to conceive and become sin.

Ms Perry is typical of Hollywood elitists, and many so called “artists”…they desperately need to be in the limelight. God forbid it is cancer, or childhood molestation, and now..lesbianism. Get a clue people! She chose this life, and she is a deep follower of all things liberal. Remember…he singing for “hillary”?
What people do in their home should be their business, I agree. But, many, many MANY laws are broken in the home…child molestation, beatings, and even murder. So, you are saying their should be controls and laws, but not in the home? Should not someone have safety in the home? There must be controls, or there will be chaos.

When I was in the Ranger Battalion, I had a brilliant teacher…1SG Don Purdy, and legend, and he told me once “Chuck, there will always be that 10%.” He meant, there will always be those that will not comply with the law, rules, and normal behavior…and there is just “nothing” you can do about it. Ms Perry, and the moron who said homosexuality in the home is fine…are classic reminders that they fall into that wondrous 10%…who want what they want, when they want it…and believe no one should stop them.
