The Paris Middle East Peace Conference ended up as a great disappointment to the Palestinians and a great relief to the Israelis. The closing declaration at the conference in Paris urged both sides to “officially restate their commitment to the two-state solution”. It also warned them against taking one-sided actions that could hurt talks, in an apparent reference to Israeli settlement building.

But Britain, which attended as an observer, did not back the final communique. A Foreign Office statement said: We have particular reservations about an international conference intended to advance peace between the parties that does not involve them – indeed which is taking place against the wishes of the Israelis – and which is taking place just days before the transition to a new American President when the US will be the ultimate guarantor of any agreement. No they havent. Dont believe for one second. You dont just gather 70 leaders to have it come out as a flop. Theyre planning something in secret. Dont believe john kerry

IMO, this conference was not about any agreement between Israel, and palistinian Arabs, it was set up, to scare the socks off of Donald Trump, into dragging him into line with the thinking of the Seventy Nations, as a warning not to resist their will. They will, IMHO, fail miserably in that respect, as Donald Trump will, once POTUS, do exactly as he feels best for the USA, and ISRAEL; This is going to be a very exciting Year, I do believe.
