Despite the Bible’s clear opposition to homosexual relations in both the Old and New Testaments, a Baptist church in the heart of the nation’s capital has just named a “married” lesbian couple to co-pastor its flock. Calvary Baptist Church in Washington, D.C., presented Maria Swearingen and Sally Sarratt to its congregation during morning worship on Sunday, with the women’s official duties commencing Feb. 26. “We look for the best people in the world and that’s who they were,” church spokeswoman Carol Blythe told the Religion News Service. “We’re very excited.”
In a news release, Blythe indicated: “As we met and talked with Sally and Maria about their vision for pastoral leadership at Calvary, we were struck by their deep faith and commitment to being part of a gospel community.” “We were impressed by how their gifts, talents, and experience matched our ministry priorities – and we are thrilled about their upcoming pastorate and the versatility the co-pastor model will provide our congregation.” READ MORE

They should make us prepare even more for the return of our great GOD and King, Jesus the Christ. This “church” has become a Social club whose members NO LONGER use the Bible as their standard of measure for TRUTH, basis for morality or as the foundation of their by laws or statement of faith as stated by the Baptist Convention. They should be expelled and denied the use of the denominational name of Baptist because they reject the tenets of the foundations of the Baptist faith and no longer TRUTHFULLY represent the beliefs of the Baptist denomination. This is no longer an organization that should be allowed tax exemptions as it is not a “Church of God” representing the God of the Bible but represent secular values. This “church” chooses to do what is “RIGHT IN THEIR OWN EYES”at their own peril and are committing spiritual abominations against their members by misleading the Biblically illiterate to their eternal spiritual death and ETERNITY in hell.
