The much discussed Paris Middle East Conference ended Sunday with a rather bland statement reaffirming support for a two-state solution, and a call to stop violence and “ongoing settlement activity.” Some 70 countries and international organizations, including the foreign ministers of more than 30 states, attended the conference, which included neither Israeli nor Palestinian participants.
Israel adamantly opposed the conference, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu repeating on Sunday that he felt it was “futile” and a relic of an approach to the Middle East that will end on Friday with the inauguration of US President-elect Donald Trump. Neither side wants that solution; Israel doesn’t, and the Palestinians won’t have it. One state, Israel will allow “Palestinians” the same rights and privileges as other Israeli citizens; one state Palestine means the END of Israelis and all history of Judaism and Christianity alike in the ME.
You can bet that the pa will never agree to anything that is decided and they will continue attacking Israel every chance they can grab, the only thing that the pa will accept is nothing less than the complete destruction of Israel.
I wonder why Netanyahu wasn’t invited? This is the same as if all of the neighbors in my area would get together and decide what color I should paint my house.
I certainly hope that with the Muslim our of the White House things will bet better between the US and Israel. It certainly would be hard for it to get any worse.
