DEVELOPING: 2 NYPD officers have been shot in the Bronx

Two NYPD officers were shot in the Bronx Friday afternoon, police sources confirm. Police sources say officers were responding to a robbery in progress at 1460 Beach Ave. The incident ended with a shooting at Bronx River Avenue.

The officers were rushed to Jacobi Medical Center. Police sources say an officer was shot in the head and a sergeant was shot multiple times in the legs. Their conditions are unknown at this time. It is not known if anyone is in custody or if anyone else was injured. FULL REPORT
