President Barack Obama and Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton both Tweeted in celebration of the 100th year of the abortion and contraception giant Planned Parenthood on Sunday, asserting that it has empowered women to control their destinies. Oct. 16th marked a century since the organization, founded by feminist and eugenics supporter Margaret Sanger, first opened its doors.

“For a century, Planned Parenthood has made it possible for women to determine their own lives. Here’s to another #100YearsStrong,” Obama Tweeted, generating 87,000 likes. His words were re-Tweeted by Clinton, who also wrote, “From birth control to cancer screenings, Planned Parenthood has provided care for millions.
