Residents in the Sunshine State received stern warnings Wednesday from officials who urged everyone expected to see impacts from Hurricane Matthew to prepare as if their life depended on it. “I cannot emphasize enough that everyone in our state must prepare now for a direct hit,” Gov. Rick Scott said in a Wednesday press conference. “If Matthew directly impacts Florida, there will be massive destruction that we haven’t seen in years.
