A funeral director in Michigan recently won a court fight by claiming his Christian beliefs would not allow him to employ a transgender person. When Target said it would allow its customers to use the bathroom that matches their gender identity, protesters shouted and walked through some of the retailer’s stores holding up Bibles. When parents published a Washington Post essay about their happy transgender 5-year-old recently, a reader wrote, “As a Christian, this deeply disturbs me!” What’s behind this animus toward transgender people in the Christian community? As I see it, it’s not the Bible.:
They go on to say “There is not a single verse in scripture that discusses transgender identities. These Christians have decided that trans identities are sinful, mostly through their lack of understanding of what being trans means.” The verse from Deuteronomy 22:5 is even mentioned, which says, “A woman must not wear men’s clothing, nor a man wear women’s clothing, for the Lord your God detests anyone who does this.” The writer claims “That verse talks about cross-dressing. It is clear that the funeral director does not understand what it is to be transgender. Being trans is not cross-dressing. It is embodying a gender that does not align with the one that was given at birth.”
Now first off this comes from an individual who claims to be a “Christian,” Secondly If the Lord calls something simple as “Cross-Dressing” an abomination how would an individual who decides to change their born gender into something else be different? How is it that we have come along in 2016 and have decided to water down the Word of God to conform to our society and culture? Haven’t we’ve seen this a lot lately about many other things that the Lord calls an abomination as well but continue to see legalized and condoned from the pulpits across America? Here is a simple question. “If the Lord condemns a lifestyle or practice that he considers an abomination then why would he choose to create an individual to be destined to be lost from the beginning”? In other words, if one is “Born this way, or that way and the Lord condemns their lifestyle, were they really born this way or was it a choice?
One interesting observation to bring out here is a recent report released by distinguished scholars at Johns Hopkins University in Maryland released a new 143-page report on Monday that argues that there is not enough definitive scientific evidence available to suggest that gay, lesbian and transgender individuals are born with a certain sexual orientation or gender identity. So at the end of the day, the Bible is silent on many topics but when one puts the entire 66 books of the Old and New Testament together how is that we have such a hard time interpreting something so plain? Here’s the bottom line, Many Christians will condemn one thing but turn around and condone something they personally affirm or want to justify. We either believe the Word or we don’t.
GOD created them male and female. He did not create them trans, homosexual, bi, its immoral, it degrades humanity, and its spawn from the pits of hell. Anyone teaching their children this is teaching lies. The day is now here where sound doctrine is frowned upon. Sad so sad to

Conversely, nowhere in the Bible does it say that one can become transgender. In fact, the Laws given to Moses include the prohibition that men were not to wear their hair like a woman’s, nor wear their clothes. The obverse is true for women. God made us all in His own image, so deciding that one should question who and what God made them to be and change their gender is absurd. The problem is psychological, not some sense that a young man feels as if he should be a young woman. If God knitted you in your mother’s womb, he defined your gender. One should not change what God created. That should also cause any Christian tempted to have their bodies changed to make them more attractive to the opposite sex are also mentioned in the Bible.
It also says that we should kill our firstborn sons in sacrifice to the Lord, that we shouldn’t wear mixed fabrics, etc.
Most of this is in the Old Testament, as are the Ten Commandments. Do you wear poly-mix clothing? Have you sacrificed your firstborn children? Do you strike your neighbors dead when they go to work on Sunday? If not, you aren’t living the word that is there, so you can hardly comment on what isn’t.
And don’t argue that it’s in the Old Testament – either it is true or it isn’t, right?
Please stop referring to liberals as sheeple. Comparing them to sheep is wrong because they are far from it. The Bible referrs to us believers as the sheep and Jesus Christ as the good shepherd. We need to take back our title. The Bible says on the last day, the Lord will seperate his sheep from the goats, the sheep on his right hand and the goats to the left. The liberals are goats, we are the sheep.
If you read the bible you will see that a person born to be boy or girl is the choice that God the father in the name of Jesus created you in your mothers womb. You can change that but that’s your decision it was not Gods decision. You can twist the words of God any way you want but it will never say what you as a human with human understand, remember you will be judged for what you have said.

Ps the bible is a hashing together of half a dozen or so other religions by a group of men who wanted to control the general population. I’m not saying that there isn’t a god, I happen to think there might be a greater omnipresence floating around somewhere… I’m fairly certain that he’s not very concerned with how we dress/cut our hair/eat/who we sleep with… He (if he is a he) seems to be putting most of his effort into giving AIDS to babies and starving half the world, that must take a lot of concentration… Obviously that’s his will though right? Please, research and do continue reading onwards a the list only gets more explicit describing this pridefully unrighteous, wicked hatred of God. As all versed Christians understand plainly, this is not like the shellfish abomination which was specifically overridden by God, in the Book of Acts, according to plan; born this way, not born this way, you’ve still got to be Born Again!

My wife, for one, neither wears pants not cuts her hair – but then, as you would find if you really searched out the matter, many Christian women do not, though many more have compromised in this area.
I bet the skirts and dresses she wears are of mixed fabrics, though.
Eve was made from Adam’s rib which makes her a clone of Adam and therefore also male. Somehow eve became female, making her the first transgender.

You’re right, many things that are condemned in the bible are now allowed. Just like many things that the bible condones are no longer allowed. You know, like slavery. You claim God is ‘good’ yet he condones slavery and mass executions.
Indeed, “either we believe the Word or we don’t.”
Do you wear mixed fabrics? Do you sacrifice your firstborn children? I wouldn’t argue the point of these things being in the Old Testament, either, because that’s where the Ten Commandments are, and I bet you try and follow those.
People have been picking and choosing from the Bible for centuries, but I think it’s fair to point out that something people insist is against their religion isn’t a part of their holy book – that means you’re interpreting it in such a way that is oppressive to other people. You should really consider what that means.
