A tragic story is circulating about a 44-year-old pastor in South Africa who tried to emulate Jesus Christ who fasted in the wilderness for 40 days and 40 nights to prepare for His ministry as written in the gospels of Luke, Mark and Matthew but tragically died. According to reports, Pastor Alfred Ndlovu died of malnutrition after enduring 30 days without food and water in the South African wilderness, Buzz South Africa reports.
My heart breaks because if this pastor would have drank water I believe he would have had a much better chance of survival than if he didn’t. I personally know of many pastors who have fasted 4o days and 40 nights but they drank lots of water during the fast. Please if you are planning to go on any extended fast drink lots of water.
Instead of recommending to drink lots of water, you need to emphasize the infilling of the Holy Spirit. The difference between Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior and this pastor must be the Holy Spirit.

The question here is “Did the Holy Spirit instruct this pastor to fast? or he only wanted to emulate Jesus?” The story from the news here at home is that the pastor wanted to BREAK THE RECORD of fasting, which was set by Moses and Jesus. So he wanted to go for more than 40 days. He fasted for the wrong reason.
In this country one do not need to emulate Yashua in fasting as there is such a scares-ness of jobs that result in the scares-ness of food and drink which forces South Africans on a permanent fast.

I would like to humbly submit that we have to accept what God gives us (in this instance food and drink) and be happy and thankful. We are not God and cannot try to emulate Him.
That is correct. You have to drink a lot of water. After three days of fasting, your hunger will disappear. And when you drink a lot of water your body will detoxify. Your blood will become clean and it increases all your five senses. Your intuition will increase also and it is easy for you to meditate and communicate with God through your dream and intuition. I already tried to fast seven days. From time to time I fast one or two days to detoxify my body. Read the book “The Miracle Of Fasting” by Paul Bragg. If you want to be Jesus Christ then fast all the time and meditate. Je4sus Christ is a man like us. He does everything that a man does. He has five senses and I am pretty sure that he uses all his senses including his feeling of sex.
If one doesn’t keep the Commandments, The Word says, “… even your prayer is an abomination. (Prov. 8:29) We must abandon the delusion & Apostasy of these Last Days, and Learn to OBEY YHVH/God’s Instructions!
