According to reports coming out of Nebraska this morning a man apparently breached a security gate at the Nebraska airport and then stole a truck on the runway and rammed it into a Southwest Airlines plane. All of this took place on Thursday night while the plane was loading for takeoff at Eppley International Airport in Omaha, according to Chris Mainz, a spokesman for the airline.
“Several crew members suffered minor injuries while none of the 18 passengers on board were harmed,” the spokesman said in a statement. The flight has been delayed and the plane taken out of rotation for further inspection.
The man who stole the truck is in police custody, Mainz said. CONTINUE
