As Father Josiah Trenham prepared to read the Gospel, several parishioners discreetly scooped up their babies, retreated up the aisles of St. Andrew Orthodox Church and out into the spring air, so as not to allow the crying of little ones to disturb the divine liturgy. The time-honored tradition was shattered when a car passed by the Riverside, Calif., church, slowing down as the front passenger leaned out of his window and bellowed menacingly through a bullhorn, according to witnesses.
“Allahu Akbar!” the unidentified man repeated several times as the unnerved parents drew their infants close and exchanged worried glances. Witnesses were able to give Riverside police a description of the green Honda Civic, but not of the three occupants. Some told police they believed one or more of the men may have been taking photographs, according to Officer Ryan Railsback. Although Trenham insisted multiple congregants heard the Arabic phrase, Railsback noted no mention of it was in the police report. READ MORE
2 Timothy 1:7 “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (KJV) John 12:25 “He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.” (KJV). These Scriptures should encourage believers. The things that ISIS/Muslims are doing should not terrify believers. When we fear them, it’s a sign that we are luke-warm believers. We believe is God, but we do not think He can save us. We do not wanna die because we love this world above all else, including God. “DO NOT FEAR” is written 365 times in the Bible. How much should we hear to have courage and faith in the power of our saviour?. I write this from the Spirit of Love, where I totally understand John 12:25. The world is too evil for a true-believer to want to prolong his/her days here. A lot of us pray that today is the day Jesus will come and end all these things that are vexing our souls. More radical (which is actually not radical, should be normal to believers) is that, some of us do not fear death, because we know the reward on the other side. So let them scream allah u akbar as much as they want, but never fear them, because they can only destroy the body and do not have power to destroy the soul.
