It is now official, A new law in Russia that had prompted Christian groups to call for a day of prayer and fasting before its final adoption has been signed into law and now will restrict even the most innocuous conversations about faith, according to reports. “The new law will require any sharing of the Christian faith – even a casual conversation – to have prior authorization from the state,” reported officials with Barnabas Fund, who work with Christians in areas of the world where members of the faith are persecuted.
“This includes something as basic as an emailed invitation for a friend to attend church. Even in a private home, worship and prayer will only be allowed if there are no unbelievers present,” the organization said. “Churches will also be held accountable for the activities of their members. So if, for example, a church member mentions their faith in conversation with a work colleague, not only the church member but also the church itself could be punished, with individuals facing fines of up to 50,000 rubles ($770).” FULL REPORT

wow… alls I can say is we are seeing the bible come to life before our eyes… Jesus himself told us in His word that we will be hated for his namesake. Its happening more and more each day… Its gotta be soon that Jesus will come take us away in the rapture. He wont let us suffer this persecution long. I cant wait….everyday that passes is one more day closer to our Blessed Hope rescuing us. Putin made a huge tactical mistake. There were a lot of Americans that thought Putin was a decent fellow, had sympathy for Russia because of her stance of the family, Syria, etc. and would probably not be in support of the US trying to start a war with Russia. I see Russia in an entirely new way. The leopard truly doesn’t change it’s spots.

Whoever wrote this article should have taken the time out to do a little bit of Church History research. The Gospel has been preached, lived, in Russia since 988 AD. This law was passed to stop the spreading the heresy of Protestant theology. The Russian Orthodox Church has survived communism.
