The flooding that has occurred in China over the last few weeks as been nothing less than catastrophic and the new reports coming out of the region are a staggering reality of how devastating they were! According to an update from RT News, 8.6 million people were impacted by destructive floods and landslides caused by heavy rain in China resulting in at least 154 deaths and the death toll is likely to rise.

The worst-hit area was Hebei province in northern China, Xinhua resulting in 52,000 homes that reportedly collapsed in the area. Hebei has about 73 million residents alone. The Henan province in central China, with a population of 94 million people, was impacted by the natural disaster as well resulting in at least 15 people killed and eight missing following violent thunderstorms producing winds that forced some 72,000 residents to flee their homes and damaged 18,000 houses in the province.
