Starbucks and McDonald’s apparently have had enough of pornography as they have recently announced that they would be filtering all pornographic and other unnecessary content on its public Wi-Fi at all locations in the U.S. public Wi-Fi networks. According to a recent statement released from Mcdonalds it stated:
“McDonald’s is committed to providing our customers with a safe environment, and we took the issues raised by Enough is Enough under advisement,” McDonald’s Media Relations says. “We are pleased to share that Wi-Fi filtering has been activated in the majority of McDonald’s nearly 14,000 restaurants nationwide, improving upon the restaurant experience for our customers.”
This news also comes on the heels of The Republican Party declaring internet pornography a “public health crisis” under an amendment added to the draft party’s platform tonight at preliminary meetings in Cleveland. a statement was made stating “The internet must not become a safe haven for predators,” the provision states. “Pornography, with its harmful effects, especially on children, has become a public health crisis that is destroying the life of millions.
