A prison nurse who identifies as a man has filed a discrimination complaint against the Iowa Department of Corrections alleging that she was not permitted to use the men’s facilities and that she was not provided with insurance coverage for a sex change operation.
According to reports, Jesse Vroegh, 34, was diagnosed with gender dysphoria in 2014 and informed her employers at Iowa Correctional Institution for Women that she would be transitioning into a man. “I requested that my employer establish policies related to issues affecting transgender employees but nothing happened,” Vroegh explained during a press conference on Thursday. I don’t care if you are transgender or not but if you don’t have a penis then use the women’s bathroom. This LBGT ordeal are making too much of nothing! Get a life!!!
Ridiculous !!
So… I guess it will have to change jobs and work at the male prison.
What in the world??? If you have a body of a female, males have the right to not see it!I’m sorry that your brain is different, but the signs on the bathroom doors are for gender body parts, so people have the freedom to not accidentally see the opposite sex…or be seen! As far as wanting to be treated the SAME for insurance…well guess what?! Their are MANY medicines/procedures that are actually NEEDED that most insurances don’t cover or barely cover. But the Mom who can’t get the medicine she needs because it’s rare, or the kid who requires $1700.00 worth of medicine a month AFTER insurance…they are out of luck. They don’t get special publicity crying discrimination. The transgender community might be better respected if they would quit crying wolf!
