Well that didn’t take long! A group opposed to a new Noah’s ark attraction in Kentucky says it is warning hundreds of public schools against visiting the Ark Encounter. The Freedom From Religion Foundation says ark field trips would expose children to religious proselytizing in violation of the constitutional separation of church and state.
Foundation co-president Annie Laurie Gaylor told the Lexington Herald-Leader that warning letters went to more than 1,000 school districts in Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio, Indiana and West Virginia. Kentucky Education Commissioner Stephen Pruitt sent a message to school districts Monday in response saying that neither outside groups nor state education officials should dictate field trip selection. A school’s site-based decision making council approves trips. FULL REPORT
The Freedom From Religion Foundation [ atheism group ]. That what it sounds like to me. Everyone is entitled to come, but they have no right to cause trouble or threats. This is a educational moment for everyone to see.
They want a Devils arch we want Noah’s ark,and no one is winning. This is not our war,we have bigger issues .
Our ism is being taken away wonder by whom.
Let the kids decide.
Schools are forced to teach the Five Pillars of Islam in the guise of History. A field trip to the Ark should be the same, about true history.
These atheistic MORONS should be concerned about ISIS infiltrating this country, not the ark
I won’t go because it has a petting zoo. Zoos, aquariums, circuses, petting farms, or other such animal abuse should NOT be tolerated.
