The governing body of the Church of England is expected to decide this week whether clergy should be banned from wearing clothing that is either skimpy or carries a message that indicates a departure from the denomination’s doctrines, while leading a worship service.
“Where a minister adopts a form of dress other than vesture of a form specified in this canon, the form of dress so adopted must be seemly and must not be such as to be indicative of a departure from the doctrines now contained in the formularies of the Church of England,” reads the text that will be taken up for approval during the General Synod this week, according to The Telegraph. This is one of the several changes to the canon law that the decision-making body is to consider during its meeting. FULL REPORT
Church of England is all about traditions and you can go in them and not hear the Gospel, too busy being politically correct and the amount of people who used to attend C of E churches and now atheist!!! Shame on them with the push for multi-faith…their leaders are totally disconnected from God.
As for garments, wear modest clothes, respectable clothing you are there to worship The Lord, not a fashion show…
If your church doesn’t preach the Word of God, pray and love each other and recognise that the Holy Bible is the true Word of God, and the final authority, it is time to find a new church!!! Find a church where Jesus Christ comes first, is loved and honoured and church that does not compromise with the world.
