Yesterday we reported on a story out Florida reporting thousands of dead fish that recently littered the outfall canal between Lake Tarpon and the northern reaches of Tampa Bay. Now we are receiving reports of another Mass fish kill that has littered a beach on Okaloosa Island. According to Michael Ledford who walks the beach every morning at 5 a.m. to pick up trash and take photos of the sunrise captured photos of dead fish that have washed up onto the beach.

“It’s like it happened overnight,” Ledford said about Saturday morning’s dead fish. Bekah Nelson, who is a spokeswoman for Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, stated that the agency took samples earlier in the week but did not find any blooms. So what was the cause of this Mass fish kill?
