Asking children to attend Christian assemblies undermines their human rights, according to a United Nations committee.
A highly controversial new report by the U.N. Committee on the Rights of the Child expresses “concern” that pupils in the U.K. are legally required to take part in a daily act of collective worship, which is “wholly or mainly of a broadly Christian character.”
Conservative MP David Burrowes described the criticism as “ludicrous” and said the government can “respectfully put those kinds of reports in the bin where they belong.” FULL REPORT

Who decides what the “rights” are anyway? Do the parents of the child not have any say in the child’s development?

The “assemblies” it refers to are religious exercises in SCHOOLS, and the UN was asking whether it is fair to make non-Christian kids attend them.

WE THE PEOPLE of the United States of America must understand the deception that we have been facing. STAND TOGETHER AS ONE, WE THE PEOPLE must act with great conviction in our hearts, to reclaim our freedoms that are increasingly being taken away. This very patient, very well calculated movement towards oppression that we have been experiencing for some time now. Is keeping our thoughts occupied in various ways as to redirect our focus away from the reality of this ever growing disease that is destroying our great nation? The body of the article is more or less correct, but the headline is “clickbait.” By deliberately crying “wolf,” it throws a wrench into the Lord’s work, and it gives unbelievers ammunition to mock the gospel.
I am not sitting on the fence with regard to religious liberty, but this issue in Britain has nothing to do with that, nor does clickbait help us to see the bigger picture.

The UN is trying to destabilize the EU slowly by allowing wars to happen in the Middle East, by allowing millions of refugees into the EU, there by destabilising a mostly Christian Bloc. Christianity is on the ropes what better way to destroy it by allowing Islam in. Islam in its self is a human rights problem. Women and children have no Rights in Islam. By destroying Christian values of self and Family, they will slowly take away your rights. This in itself will pave away for the Take over of all whom want freedom, until a war will break out and the UN will then enact laws that will outlaw Christian values. Islam will not oppose it and they will get behind it in full force. How will this happen you might say. Well in time Muslims will take over by sheer numbers of Children being born, they will take over government slowly and then Christianity and familyas we know it will cease to exist. This will happen over the next 50 years.
So let’s get this straight. They can force us to have to have our children in bathrooms with transgenders, gender fluid (my fave!!! Sarcasm) they can take prayer so far out of the school that even the pledge of allegiance is not allowed most of the time and now they’d like to do this? Oh and as for the UN I’ve never thought they should be allowed to make decision for other countries. Ugh sickening

I dont think ots an infringement on their rights i do think it is a learning curve for children so they can make an informed decision about religeon depending on the age of a child but i also feel if an older child makes a decision to withdraw from these assemblies this should be accepted
What about taking them to a shopping mall, casino, establishment that sells alcohol, watching television….
