The Assemblies of God Pastor was preaching on “Fire Starters,” according to TRUNews, and addressing one of the most hot-button issues facing the Church community today: Homosexuality. “I used Elijah as the example of a ‘Fire Starter,’ and our need to raise up a new generation of ‘Fire Starters’ who would not be afraid to confront false religions (like Islam) and corrupt culture,” Bates tells Charisma News.
“Anyone (comedians, LGBT community, media) can say anything negative about Christianity and there are no repercussions for their actions or their words. But as soon as a Christian preaches or speaks against the false religion of Islam or against the agenda of the LGBT community and the transgender movement and their demands for us to make accommodations for and accept their lifestyle and agenda—then we face persecution. Re-read your bible.thou shall not judge.
(1 Corinthians 5:9-13) I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people— 10 not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. 11 But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people.
12 What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? 13 God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked person from among you.”
YOU need to re-read your Bible. We are not commanded not to judge. Finish reading the passage, pew-warmer. We are only warned not to be hypocrites about it. That’s it.
If Jesus in heaven didn’t rejoice in 49 people dead in their sins who are we to rejoice. I don’t know if any of those people were saved,( I hope they were) but you have to remember that homosexuality is falling short of the glory of the Lord, but it is not one of the 10 commandments. Killing is.
Correction: Homosexuality is most definitely in the 10 commandments. Thou shalt not commit adultery. God stated that marriage is the union of one man and one woman. Adultery is sex outside of the bonds of His definition of marriage including homosexual sex.
KEEP ON preaching the TRUTH!
We can not change the message of the Gospel or God’s word they stand forever. The body of Christ, His Church, MUST stand up for the truth no matter what the earthly consequence. We need revival in our churches today with the Power of the Holy Spirit setting it on fire and there will be no fence sitters. The Sheep and the Goats will be separated, you either stand with the truth of God’s Word or you don’t.
