An enormous sinkhole has devoured Rideau Street just next to a shopping mall in downtown Ottawa, causing a gas leak and forcing the evacuation of all nearby businesses on June 8, 2016. The giant crater has swallowed the entire Rideau Street, from sidewalk to sidewalk.
This surreal video by Jean Delisle shows that the hole has became a sort of new swimming pool right in downtown Ottawa. People are advised to avoid the scene. Electricity and gas are cut in the area. Here another video from CBC News: CONTINUE
