Denmark is considering a tax on red meat over fears cattle flatulence was causing climate change. A government think tank said consumers were ‘ethically obliged’ to change their eating habits in a bid to cut greenhouse gas emissions. The Danish Council of Ethics said cattle accounted for around 10 per cent of the CO2 released into the atmosphere,
while food production makes up around another 20 per cent. It said: ‘The Danish way of life is far from climate sustainable. ‘If we are to live up to the Paris Agreement target of keeping the global temperature rise below 2C, it is necessary both to act quickly and involve food. READ MORE

Is this all these one trick ponies know how to do things? Not that I agree in any way to the whole flatulence/global warming idiocy, but when is governments going to realize that by taxing things as a deterrent is no deterrent, only hurts the poor/working class, and is such a lazy way to effect change. It they want to discourage the purchase of beef (which I do not support) why not ration it so that everyone is affected not just the poor. I am getting so sick and tired of these morons that have no imagination.
