The latest research on worldwide trends shows that religious beliefs are deteriorating, while those adhering to a secular belief system devoid of God are on the rise. Pitzer College Sociology and Secular Studies Professor Phil Zuckerman explains that around the globe, people are simply doing away with religion in their hearts and minds.

Religion has become static, whereas, I think it is supposed to be dynamic (and people often view it as separate from their faith, and perhaps that’s why); When one listens to a depersonalized, politically correct, and rote sermon, week in and week out, it in effect, renders the service/institution as predatory (it’s taking energy, but not giving it). When you realize you’re up against a wall, you’re done with it. It’s like a corporation/business; you really have no say in it, you’re just there because of social connections, need of a service, or some such.
