A rather dubious streak of consecutive rainy days in Washington D.C. continued on Wednesday and the streak could remain intact into the coming weekend. There has been plenty of cloud cover with this streak, as well. Clouds and rainy periods have made residents “weary of the dreary”. How much longer is this streak expected to continue?

On April 27, a mere 0.03 inches of rain was recorded at Reagan National Airport. Little did anyone know that measurable rain would continue for 15 consecutive days (and counting), shattering the previous record by a wide margin. There were two other occasions on record that the Washington, D.C. area measured rain on 10 consecutive days. There were several other times when a streak of nine days occurred.
