Evangelist Franklin Graham is urging Christians to vote this election year, even if “it’s for the lesser of two evils.” Graham spoke to a crowd on the steps of the capitol in Lincoln, Nebraska. It was the 24th stop, nearly the halfway mark of his 50-capitol Decision America Tour. “I have no hope for the Democrat Party …
I have no hope for the Republican Party,” Graham told the more than 3,000 people at the event, the Lincoln Journal Star reported. “The only hope for our nation today is Almighty God. The most important thing we can do as Christians is pray. It is our only hope.” Graham says believers should vote for candidates who at least consider their concerns. I disagree with the premise of voting, even if it’s “the lesser of two evils”, because it’s still evil. I can’t vote democrat, because I don’t believe in abortion, and I can’t vote republican because I’ll be voting for my own financial ruin. So I don’t vote.
@7Acres, then what about others? How about a vote against what’s almost 60 million abortions? What about them?
Count the number of “I”‘s in your comment.
You can indeed feel a spiritual difference these days. Most everyone is uptight, that something is really out of sequence and a lot of people are worried. “Fear not”, Jesus said. I can hardly wait until He makes his appearance……very….very soon!
Re: Trober, I don’t view a vote for a republican as a vote against abortion, as most of the party seems to be for it, (backing it in policy, funding, rhetoric, etc.).
They can try but the will to keep our faith a values may surprise.
There is so much falsehood in the republican party. At least democrats will tell you what they stand for and back it up. These articles/points will give credence to my above post. “Oklahoma Governor Vetoes Bill to Jail Abortion Doctors” (who is said to be pro-life, as well as republican), on trunews.com website. “Franklin Graham Quits the GOP Over Planned Parenthood Funding” on religionnews.com/liveactionnews.org, and “Senate Republicans Poised to Help Create Slush Fund for International Abortion Groups” on March for life.org. This has to do with federal law in the NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act) with regards to international trafficking, which will likely be a big boost to abortion providers. The language of which was written in by Senator John McCain (R-Ariz) and Senator Bob Corker (R-Tenn).
