What is this mysterious red glow in the sky of Chalchuapa, El Salvador? The unexplained glow baffled residents on April 17, 2016. Could it be a meteor disintegrating red? No fireballs have been observed on this exact day at this exact time in El Salvador (although we are right in the middle of the Lyrid meteor shower). Moreover you see the sky is cloudy, so there’s no way to see a meteor exploding.
