Just who is the Antichrist? A previous generation of evangelicals would have had not difficulty answering that: it’s the Pope, or the papacy in general. The virulence of anti-Catholic feeling in years gone by – cheerfully reciprocated by many Catholics – is quite startling, but it’s largely died away. In fact evangelicals rather like Pope Francis.
Throughout history there have been various candidates, including Peter the Great, Napoleon, Hitler and Stalin. It’s surprising how many people today think the Antichrist is President Obama or Hillary Clinton.
According to a new survey by the Southern Baptist Convention’s LifeWay Research, whoever they identify as the likeliest candidate, by far the most popular view among Protestant pastors is that the Antichrist is a real figure, a false Messiah who will arise at some point in the future. FULL REPORT
This is not true, there will be an Anti-Christ because this man of lawlessness will sign the peace treaty with Israel that starts the Great Tribulation. That is when his identity is known, not before. Not biblically accurate to believe in a future Antichrist? Then who does Jesus “destroy by the splendor of His coming” in 2 Thessalonians 2 and Zechariah 14? Can’t be a past Antichrist because Jesus didn’t come back a second time yet, and the Antichrist has to be a person because he is described as doing physical activitivites like the abomination of desolation, the peace treaty, and all of the battles depicted in Daniel 11 (very specifically outlined). Based on the battles, and the details of children being instrumental in the Antichrist’s activities, spoken of in Daniel 11, I cannot agree that it’s the Pope. I find it way more likely that the Pope is the false prophet awaiting the Antichrist, who are both physically cast into the lake of burning fire by Jesus himself in Revelation 19. Mystery Babylon is definitely Rome, as described by the seven hills. Revelation 17 says the Antichrist destroys Babylon, this is God’s planned punishment, most likely not carried out by the Pope himself. Really tired of symbolic, and allegorical, interpretations by so-called “Christians”, who claim to have have the correct interpretation. Let’s try to keep this simple! Future Bible prophecy is any prophecy that has not yet come true (hint: anything that leads up to the physical return of Christ, because He isn’t here yet!) Also, it stands to reason that future prophecy will be fulfilled in the same manner as past prophecy was fulfilled…LITERALLY!!! Like the first coming, the virgin birth, the crucifixion, the resurrection, the regathering of the Jews to the land of Israel, (any prophecy…) All fulfilled literally!

2 thessalonians 2;6-10.The antichrist he is not yet revealed according to the WORD,but his spirit is at work.The WORD says someone is holding him back n that is the CHURCH but his spirit is at work.When the CHURCH will be taken away (raphture)then he shall be revealed,thats when the world will experience pain n sorrow(the time of Jocob’s pain according to the WORD)
Many Christians think that the Antichrist will be revealed soon but when I tell them who the Antichrist truly is they reject me along with my message.
The Antichrist is Turkish President Erdogan. He is the “chief prince” or primary governor among the provinces of Turkey described in Ezekiel 38:1-3. Erdogan will lead an invasion into Israel.
Isaiah compares the Antichrist with the ancient Assyrian kings. The Assyrians conquered Syria and then invaded northern Israel. So the modern day conqueror of Syria is the Antichrist. Turkey has 54,000 troops on the Syrian border ready to enter Syria. Erdogan has pledged to remove Assad from power in Damascus. According to Jeremiah 49 Turkey will enter Syria near Hammah and also near the cities north of Aleppo. The Turkish Army will march down to destroy Damascus.
Turkish President Erdogan has also vowed to reinstate ousted Muslim Brotherhood President Morsi in Egypt. According to Daniel 11 the Antichrist will conquer Egypt. According to Daniel, Egypt shall not escape!
Turkish President Erdogan is the Antichrist. He has already been declared as being “equal to Allah” by the highest board of Muslim clerics in Turkey. Erdogan is openly killing Kurds inside of Turkey. He is jailing journalists and commandeering their newspaper publishing houses. Erdogan is calling for the formation of a united Islamic Union. I think that that Union is represented by a leopard in Daniel 7.
