Researchers have for the first time determined that the Zika virus can be sexually-transmitted between men, according to officials from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). CDC officials said this mode of transmission “might contribute to more illness than was anticipated when the outbreak was first recognized.” The CDC published its study in the Morbidity and Mortality Weekly report.
“Such cases highlight the need for clinicians to remain vigilant for and continue reporting any suspected cases of Zika virus infection to their state or local health departments,” according to the report. “This includes suspected infections in symptomatic persons without travel history, but who report unprotected sexual contact with a person who has traveled to an area with active Zika virus transmission.” FULL REPORT
If this is the latest claptrap as an explanation on offer for Zika then it is the same as the HIV/AIDS virus. All out of a laboratory and people with unacceptable sexual habits to the majority practicing Religion again gets the blame. If there is any truth in this the CDC must please enlighten us dummies on how Homosexuals got it and what must women who gave birth to deformed babies, blamed on Zika, now think of their partners legal or otherwise? Thou shalt no bear false witness against thy neighbour. In writing and in repeating is always best and safe not to take short cuts but rather be “long-winded”.
I presume that this can be just as easily transmitted between a man and a woman. Perhaps your headline should read that it can be sexually transmitted! Sexual preference is not the cause rather the virus itself! Warn everyone!
