(Kynan Bridges) In the late 1800s, Swiss scientists stumbled on a very peculiar substance in the pus of discarded surgical bandages. This substance, made up of sugar, phosphate and nucleic acid, was later determined to be what we now know as DNA. Essentially, DNA (Deoxyribonucleic acid) is a molecule that carries the genetic instructions used in the development and function of all known living organisms. Simply put, DNA determines the characteristics and functionality of every creature.

Just as every human being has a physical DNA that determines his or her function, every believer has a spiritual DNA that determines our function. The Bible says this: “For you have been born again, not from perishable seed, but imperishable, through the word of God which lives and abides forever” (1 Pet. 1:23).
