The American College of Pediatricians has issued a statement entitled “Gender ideology harms children,” pressing educators and lawmakers alike to resist embracing the agenda that’s been advanced by the LGBT movement – that encouraging gender transitions among children is acceptable medical practice.
The organization said the trend toward gender transitioning is tantamount to “child abuse.” It wrote: “The [ACP] urges educators and legislators to reject all policies that condition children to accept as normal a life of chemical and surgical impersonation of the opposite sex. Facts – not ideology – determine reality.” The group then ran down a list of facts that have been confused or overlooked in the policy discussions on transgender issues. READ MORE
