The US policies towards Russia and China show that Washington deems the two powers as its adversaries, says a political commentator and former US Army officer. Joachim Hagopian made the remarks over reports of new military encounters between Russian and American air forces over the Sea of Japan, where two Russian aircraft flying close to a US aircraft carrier were intercepted by four USAF F-18 fighter jets. “This incident by itself is not all that alarming or different from many of the other previous encounters,” the former US Army officer told Press TV on Friday.
Hagopian said such incidents highlight escalated tensions between America on the one side and Russia and China on the other, who are now deemed as adversaries in Washington. “It wasn’t their choice to become the adversary of America, it was the aggression of America that has created this very polarized world we are living in right now,” the political analyst noted.
