Homeland chief likens Quran to 'American valuesAccording to a report from WND Jeh Johnson, the secretary for the Department of Homeland Security, raised some eyebrows recently when he likened the Quran to American values and Martin Luther King. He made the inflammatory remarks during a ceremony by the Muslim Public Affairs Council to honor him for “his dedication to and personal investment in engagement with Muslim American communities across the United States,” Twitchy reported.  After receiving his award, he spoke fondly of the Quran, MPAC reported. In a tweet, MPAC quoted Johnson as saying: “‘The reading of the #Quran reminded me of 2 things that MLK said a lot, which are quintessentially American values’ @DHSgov Sec. Jeh Johnson.” A few minutes earlier, MPAC had tweeted: “‘We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools.’ – Martin Luther King, Jr.”  FULL REPORT
