Kimmy Denny, Barb LawrenceCollier County Clerk Dwight Brock’s office is preparing for tomorrow as if it will be the busiest wedding day the county has ever seen. “And we could have more couples than we’ll ever see again,” Brock said. But it’s still anyone’s guess as to how many same-sex couples will rush to the courthouse Tuesday morning for a marriage license in Collier County. As of this afternoon, only one couple has stepped forward early to officially ask for a license. “I don’t anticipate there being a problem,” Brock said. “We can handle licenses pretty quickly. If my staff does run in to problems with lines or doing the ceremonies, I will do some ceremonies too to help move it along.” It’s a different story across the state. More
