The new findings are based on doctors’ measurements of people’s height and weight, whereas many previous reports were based on people’s reports of their own measurements. But the problem is not that people underestimate their weight — surprisingly, it’s that they overestimate their height, said study researcher Zachary Ward, of the Harvard School of Public Health, who presented the work this week at the American Public Health Association meeting. More
