LADWP officials said there was no estimate for when power would be fully restored. About 1,600 of the affected customers are in the Sun Valley area, while the remaining 2,000 are scattered across Mulholland, Brentwood and Sherman Oaks neighborhoods, said MaryAnne Pierson, a spokeswoman for the utility. Temperatures for Sun Valley and Sherman Oaks were expected to be well above 100 degrees on Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
