dertThree people were killed Tuesday morning, including the suspected gunman, in a shooting at a UPS facility in Birmingham, Ala., MyFoxAL.com reported. The identities of the victims and the shooter were not immediately released. Lt. Sean Edwards, from the Birmingham police, said one employee in uniform is confirmed dead.  The Birmingham News reported that the gunman is dead. The paper described the man as a white male in his 40s. Edwards says the gunman was an employee of the company “It is extremely troubling for the city, for the families involved. When they came to work today they had no idea it would be their last day alive on Earth,” Police Chief A.C. Roper told the paper. “They were just people working at their jobs.” Roper told reporters that the gunman was wearing his uniform when he started shooting either in or near some offices inside the warehouse in an industrial area just north of the Birmingham airport.
