(Reported By Todd Starnes) A Kansas City woman was ordered to remove an American flag that was flying from the balcony of her apartment. “Problem: American flag on deck,” declared a letter written by the management of The Cordillera Ranch Apartments. “I just didn’t understand what their problem was with having an American flag to support our troops,” resident Kerry White told Fox4. Ms. White is the daughter of a Vietnam War veteran and the stepmother of an active-duty member of
the military. She purchased the flag for the Memorial Day weekend. “It’s our country, support our country, support our troops, they go out and they fight for our country and they defend us so why wouldn’t we want to fly an American flag to support them?” On Thursday, she returned home from work to discover a letter from management. Many years ago, the SCOTUS had deemed patriotism an official religion. God is certainly not the one being worshiped when it comes to patriotism. The military, the government, the land, the flag, and mainly the se;fish rights are what become the center of a patriotic person’s life. Therefore, patriotism is a false religion.
It is fine to be content with where one lives. However, when a flag is fought for before God is fought for, then there is a problem.
