(Reported By J.Lee Grady) Mary Hudson is a minister’s wife, a gifted preacher, an author and a mentor to many Christian women. But she’s also the mother of one of the most famous entertainers in the world, pop singer Katy Perry. For that reason, many Christians turn a cold shoulder to Mary and her husband, Keith. “I get a lot of negative vibes,” Mary told me this week during an interview in Hawaii, where she was hosting a women’s conference. “People ask us, ‘How could you have a daughter like that?'”
Mary certainly never expected things would turn out this way. When she was pregnant with Katy, an evangelist prayed over her and declared, “This child will do something great for God.” When Katy was 9 years old, a charismatic minister prophesied that she would stand before kings and presidents. An im sure God will still do something great through her. God’s still in control. An still loves her. When God is ready for her he will use her in his timing.
She will come back to God. Just like I did. I was rebellious and got completely away from God as a teen but at 38 I finally had my born again experience and God also delivered me from 22 years of alcoholism completely. Now I live for Jesus and God has restored everything satan took from me. God is using me very mightily now. If your child has gotten away from God just keep praying for them. God is absolutely in control.
