“Bible Answer Man” Hank Hanegraaff has told his supporters that doctors have discovered he has a rare form of cancer. Hanegraaff explained that he’s hoping for a miraculous healing, but at the same time said his prayer is not for his will to be done, but for God’s, and that he will be looking to use his situation to help and encourage others.
The president and chairman of the board of the North Carolina–based Christian Research Institute said in a video blog on May 2 that he has been diagnosed with anemia and is awaiting the results from a bone marrow biopsy, and late last week shared an update in another Facebook video. “What was discovered is a rare form of cancer that is called mantle cell lymphoma. This is a treatable cancer, but it is going to require aggressive chemo therapy,” he revealed, adding that he’s also scheduled to undergo a CT scan. FULL REPORT
God’s will is never to leave you sick. I am so tired of Christians who believe God wills people to be sick. I would assume that’s what Hanagraaf means when he says, “If it’s God’s will.”
Would you want your child or loved one to get sick for whatever ridiculous reason people believe God wants some of His children to be sick? It just doesn’t make sense; Jeremiah 29:11 and Psalm 91:5-8 are just two examples that contradict those who believe God wants you to be sick. If that’s the case, then why do sick Christians go to the doctor? If God wants you to be sick, why are you fighting Him? Stand firmly on your faith and the many promises of God throughout scripture. I’ve seen miraculous healing in my life, my wife’s, my son’s, and people we’ve prayed for. So God’s promises are “YES and AMEN!” if you can only believe!!!
