Atheist activists took out a full-page ad in Thursday’s New York Times to send a pointed message to U.S. President Donald Trump: “Mr. President, we are NOT a ‘nation of believers.’” The full-page ad from the Freedom From Religion Foundation features a cartoon-like image of Trump surrounded by the various faith leaders who stood behind him on the day he signed his now-infamous religious freedom executive order. The text proclaims that the U.S. is “one nation under a godless constitution” and that citizens are free to either believe or disbelieve.
The atheist activist group said in a statement that the ad was partially motivated by Trump’s recent commencement speech at Liberty University during which is said that “America is a nation of true believers.” So, the Freedom From Religion Foundation has set out to send a very different message, framing Trump’s statements about the faithful as “exclusionary remarks” that “denigrate the quarter of the U.S. population today that is nonreligious.” READ MORE
Oh, But when the Radical Muslims approach you about Islam. Will you accept Islam as a believers or end up like the Coptic Christians, dead as a door nail.
The sad fact is that all atheists become believers as soon as they die but then it will be too late to repent and cry out for mercy. Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment. Everyone quotes John 3:16 but the last verse of John 3:26: He who believes in the Son has everlasting life, and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.
It never ceases to amaze me how defensive and hateful these people get over something they insist does not exist. I truly believe that santa clause and the easter bunny are two of the biggest lies ever fed to our children , but I see no atheists complaining about that. I guess without God and salvation , you just continue to hate.
These people are sinners, just like All of us and they desperately need our prayers. ? God can reach anyone.
These people are simply lacking true wisdom and knowledge of what life is and who they themselves are spiritually through the whole human adventure that we all are part of
I’m an atheist who voted for Trump. Atheist conservatives do exist but we are extremely rare.
As for Trump, my concern is that he is is going to back away from his campaign promises and go soft on immigration, builing a wall on our southern border ( I live in Texas ) , fail to countermand Obama’s numerous executive orders and basically fail to deliver.
He has allowed Obama holdovers to remain in his administration, is failing to forcefully deal with Deep State, etc. Frankly, I pretty disappointed so far but at least we don’t have Hillary.
I’m a pro-Trump atheist who just had his comment deleted from this blog. Funny how atheists are accused of being “hateful” yet this Christian blog stamps out my pro-conservative free speech just like Antifa terrorists who riot and shut down speakers they don’t like. Good job, guys.
Why don’t you lead by example instead of mimicking the very people you condemn ?
To paraphrase the old pop group Blood Sweat and Tears, “Swear there
ain’t no heaven, pray there ain’t no hell. You won’t find out by living only your dyin’ will tell
why should non believers try to get between our lord and us???? they need to keep quite and not be cheer leaders for the dark side…the lord is forgiving and will take them in even at that last second…hope they don’t wait too long or have a sudden death….WHAT does it matter to them anyway WHAT I feel about my spirituality????They don’t believe anyway and I don’t want anything from them……
They may not believe in GOD but he believes them.
