Reports coming out of Alaska are indicating that a volcano has just experienced its largest eruption to date producing a huge ash cloud. This volcano has been brewing the past several months, The Bogoslof Volcano has reported minor eruptions, but the most recent was its strongest, sending ashes 35,000 feet above sea level.  As a result of this strong eruption, the Residents of the Aleutian Islands have been placed under an ash advisory.

The National Weather Service warned that the fishing communities could see a trace amount of ash following this powerful eruption. Tuesday was the 36th recorded eruption over the last three months, with the next most recent one occurring February 19th. Remarkaby this eruption lasted three hours and produced 200 lightning strikes!
