(By Bret Farias) Why does it seem like much of America respects Islam’s evil agenda and the LBGTQ agenda but does not respect the church’s righteousness? Could it be that we’ve not been righteous? It is time to make a change.
There’s a false love that has crept into Western Christianity today that has made the Church limp. This false love has a way of subtly making us feel righteous, but it’s a synthetic righteousness. I’m speaking of this false concept of love as a sentiment of total acceptance, free of the ability to hate, which is one of the most popular rationales for which many believers are abandoning the truth and authority of the Scriptures in this hour.
I believe the Obama administration and its far leftist ideology were instrumental in pushing the envelope and creating such a militant aggression in our society today that is demanding people love and accept others regardless of their actions. The focus of what many call love today is based on accommodating people’s ungodly and sinful lifestyles and idiosyncrasies, and frankly, even abominable behavior. This new sentiment is shaping public policy and being used as a standard of morality in evaluating people’s behavior. CONTINUE
We’re only clean from our sins when we stop practicing them through the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit proceeds from the Lord’s now glorified Person, and is referred to as the “blood of the Lamb” Unfortunately, many Christians don’t understand this and think they’re free to throw off all restraint and live continuously in sin. This is exactly what they do, and don’t realize they’re excluding themselves from being children of God’s Kingdom!
“Don’t you know that unrighteous people will have no share in the Kingdom of God? Don’t delude yourselves — people who engage in sex before marriage, who worship idols, who engage in sex after marriage with someone other than their spouse, who engage in active or passive homosexuality, who steal, who are greedy, who get drunk, who assail people with contemptuous language, who rob — none of them will share in the Kingdom of God. Some of you used to do these things. But you have cleansed yourselves, you have been set apart for God, you have come to be counted righteous through the power of the Lord Yeshua the Messiah and the Spirit of our God.” [1Cor.6:9-11]
As true Christians, we must continuously strive against the tendencies in our flesh to sin. For by so doing we receive into our souls, from the Lord, the righteousness we practice daily. Under the new covenant, the righteousness we practice are NOT filthy rags.
This is why the Apostle Peter wrote:
“Children, don’t let anyone deceive you — it is the person that keeps on doing what is right who is righteous, just as God is righteous. The person who keeps on sinning is from the Adversary, because from the very beginning the Adversary has kept on sinning. It was for this very reason that the Son of God appeared, to destroy these doings of the Adversary. No one who has God as his Father keeps on sinning, because the seed planted by God remains in him. That is, he cannot continue sinning, because he has God as his Father. Here is how one can distinguish clearly between God’s children and those of the Adversary: everyone who does not continue doing what is right is not from God.” [1 John 3:7-10]
Good deeds indicate we have a living faith. Faith without works is dead! Anyone that teaches otherwise is an Apostate. We are still expected to fulfill the Law of loving others, and we can’t do this without good actions.
The Apostle Paul taught:
“…he who loves another has fulfilled the law.”[Rom.13:8]
And just to be sure that those he wrote to new exactly what he meant by fulfilling the law, he continued,
For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other other commandment, are summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbour as yourself.” Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.” [Rom.13:9,10]
The love of God, made available to us through the Holy Spirit, empowers us to fulfill the law.
“…the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” [Rom.5:5]
Jews and Gentiles are still expected to fulfill the law as explained above if they want to inherit eternal life. This is why when a man came to Jesus Christ, asking:
“What good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?” [Matt.19:16]
The Lord told him “If you want to enter into life, keep the the commandments.” He said to Him, “Which ones? Jesus said, “You shall not murder,’ You shall not commit adultery,’ ‘You shall not steal,’ ‘You shall not bear false witness,’…” [Matt:19:17,18]
“To those who seek glory, honor and immortality by perseverance in doing good, he will pay back eternal life.” [Rom.2:7]
“So let us not grow weary of doing what is good; for if we don’t give up, we will in due time reap the harvest.” [Gal.6:9]
“…don’t forget doing good and sharing with others, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.” [Heb.13:16]
“Do not be conquered by evil, but conquer evil with good.” [Rom.12:21]
“Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice and come forth—those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation. [John 5:28,29]
Paul wrote:
“For you have been delivered by grace through trusting, and even this [that is, the ability to trust] is not your accomplishment but God’s gift. You were not delivered by your own actions [because our own actions, in truth, are the Lord’s through the indwelling presence of His Holy Spirit]; therefore no one should boast. For we are of God’s making, created in union with the Messiah Yeshua for a LIFE OF GOOD ACTIONS already prepared by God for US TO DO.” [Eph.2:8-10][words in bracket are mine]
The ability to believe that Jesus Christ is our Lord and God is a gift given to us by the Lord Himself. Without this belief the Holy Spirit cannot dwell in us! And if He’s not in us we don’t have the power for a life of good actions! When we do acknowledge Jesus Christ as our Lord and God, the Holy Spirit starts to dwell in us and continually inspires us to refrain from doing evil, and to start doing good. This is how we receive eternal life now, in preparation for the translation of our bodies from mortality to immortality, when the Lord comes.
What has happened is that false teachers, through the years, have twisted Paul’s letters and come up with a false gospel that teaches Christians don’t need to keep the commandments, as long as they believe with all their heart that Jesus took their place on the cross, and that all their sins, past, present and future are washed away. And therefore deluded Christians conclude “living in sin doesn’t condemn me and doing good doesn’t save me! Wow! Isn’t the Gospel great” This is NOT the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It’s the Lie that will cause billions of Christians to remain on earth to experience the wrath of God!
“Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in his purifieth himself, even as He [that is, as Jesus Christ] is pure.” [1 John 3:2,3]
Do you see it? We purify ourselves. Pastors should stop teaching heresy. And start teaching their congregations to take responsibility for their actions. Many Pastors are preparing their congregations to get their heads chopped off during the outpouring of God’s wrath, for they will be left behind if they continue to live according to these false teachings. The truth is many are going to be left behind and will only then reject the heresies being taught in so many Churches today. Only then will they start to keep the commandments, which they are failing to do now because of believing in these heresies. Then it will cost them their lives to DO what they should be doing now, but can’t because they’ve believed in false doctrine taught as if its true doctrine!
“And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.” [Rev.12:17]
The Church has become completely Apostate and only a remnant are the true followers of Jesus Christ today.
Our current status of “faith” is used like an insurance policy/contract. People answer an alter call for salvation, and after saying a sinner’s prayer of repentance. They cry and say “I am born-again” only to leave the church and continue with their sinful ways with a chip in their shoulders that they have being insured by their “new life” that they will inherit the Kingdom of Yashua NO MATTER WHAT THEY DO.They answered the alter call, not for changing their evil/sinful ways (repentance) but in order to “cash the insurance at the time of Final Judgement”. Our pastors convienced them that at Judgement, Jesus will ask “Whom amongst you had answered an alter call once in their lifetime? If you did, no judgement please come and inherit the Kingdom which my Father prepared.” They are so convinced that “It does not matter the sins you do (after being born-again), they are already forgiven” in a sense of “licence to sin” manner. Not realizing that Jesus meant for the sins which we commit without knowing that they are sins, those are the ones that are forgiven already. Not after you have knowledge that what you do is sinful, but continue doing it.. HOSEA 4 sums up the status of our pastors today.
The Bible clearly says as we love our kids and punish them for their misbehavior, God does the same to us. He does that by judging our deeds and disciplines us accordingly. In Love there is judgement, and a judgement made from love corrects and brings blessings and favor from the LORD. We can’t fail to tell our kids that they are wrong, because if we do, we will also reject the LORD’s warnings when He tells us that we are sinful. This has lead to the perversion of the world. He has called many things sinful and abomination, but we have failed to repeat the same. Instead we tried to modernize His Word to worldly standards and opened a sass-pool of demonic principalities.
Ohh Father forgive those that do not know what they do, As for those that are not sure of what they do, grant them a conversion of Apostle Paul’s proportion. As for those that knows the truth but continue transgressing it, (I am not perfect also) so I ask you to have mercy on them. In Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior’s precious name Amen.
