(by Kelly McDonald, Jr) Frances Lampert, an exorcist in the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, recently reported an alarming increase in the amount of demonic activity. He attributed this sharp increase not to satan doing more, but people participating more in occulting/satanic rituals. Moreover, he stated that certain sins such as pornography and illegal drugs create a gateway for satan to enter into a person’s life.

Lampert’s concerns were affirmed during a meeting of the International Association of Exorcists in Rome. During the meeting, the 400-member body came to the conclusion that there was a desperate need for more exorcists. The Pope Leo XII Institute was founded in 2012 to train and equip exorcists.  The first class of 55 exorcists graduated in 2015 with 52 more graduating in 2017. Lampert hopes that this institute will help the church to fight the increase of demonic activity.
