One Christian School in Florida is choosing to shut down and close it’s doors rather than compromise their beliefs! According to the report, The Christian preschool receives much of its funding from the government and will close its doors in May out of concerns that government regulations could one day force its staff to compromise religious teachings or even create bathroom accommodations for transgender children! This is a very sad story as Gateway Christian Preschool, an outreach ministry of the Gateway Church of Christ in Pensacola Florida will be shutting down after serving the local the
community for over 40 years. According to the report, The preschool’s Director, Barbara Deem, told The Christian Post on Wednesday that the decision was made by the church’s eldership after they came to the decision that the preschool and its involvement in the state-funded Voluntary pre-kindergarten subsidy program could one day become a “liability” to the church. So the question is will this be the first domino of many to come? Will this become a new trend? Are we going to begin seeing Christian Schools be forced to decide on compromising their core beliefs or capitulating to the Government?
Why did they close over something that MAY happen one day and why, if public funding can put them in a difficult situation didn’t they switch over to private funding? It is a reaction out of fear and we are not slaves to fear.
It is laying foundation for the final rise of the persecution of Christian Church as they did in Rome and other nations during the rise of the Christian Faith to world dominance as Christ had predicted. “Many will be offended because of me. And they will deliver you up to rulers, kings and governors. And some of you will be killed for my Namesake.” And “In the last days, many will depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons” and the enemy will “wear out the patience and faith of the saints and trample them underfoot.” But “he that endures to the end, the same shall be saved.” Because we have had a time of relative peace for a while in most areas of the world, Christians have become complacent and apathetic regarding the scriptures’ warning that the persecution of the faith is not over. There are those who have long hated the faith and looked for a way to attack it. That opportunity is presenting itself with the rise of Satanism, perversion and the Sex revolution. We will one day soon have to do as the early Christians did and stand for righteousness or fall to judgment.
