Time is running out for two Christian pastors facing a possible death penalty in Sudan, the American Center for Law and Justice is warning as it launches a global petition asking the world to help save the two men. The Rev. Hassan Abduraheem and Rev. Kuwa Shamal have been arrested, transferred, and re-arrested on multiple occasions this past year in the Islamic-majority country of Sudan, with government officials accusing them of national security crimes.
ACLJ Chief Counsel Jay Sekulow is arguing, however, that the imprisonment and the threat of a death penalty punishment are directly linked to the pastors’ Christian faith, and has warned that if other believers don’t speak up, the government of Sudan will send them to their deaths. “They could be sentenced to hang for their faith if the world is silent,” Sekulow wrote in an email, linking to the petition. I agree with yot salih
Don’t trust the people who saying that, they would like to burn Sudan like Syria, In Sudan they respect al religious.
The above mentioned two pastors lives in the “country of SOUTH SUDAN.” What does that have to do anything with SUDANESE GOVERNMENT?? It’s two different countries please don’t buy this incorrect news. Perhaps you need to focus on the millions of children, old people, and women who are beening burned alive and killed everyday in Syria, Yemen, Iraq, etc..
So sad. Please keep all persecuted Christians in your prayers!
Any Christian who lives in a Muslim world knows how hard it is to practice their faith. The Christian syrians are harassed in refugee camps and usa doesn’t even want to help. Instead the majority of refugees coming to usa are Muslims who get the freedom to practice their faith. The Christian pastors are Nubians from northern sudan. They have Arabic nAmesbury. Just because they are black Africans doesn’t mean they are not from northern sudan. It is well known that you have to be a Muslim or pay taxes by strict Islamic tradition. Many syrians refugees in Sudan are treated better than the citizens. To be honest with you if I was the leader of strong Christian country, I would ask for churches to be built in the Arab world including mecca so any one can have freedom of religion any where. Islam is spreading to dominate the world if Christians don’t wake up. Again freedom to pray in a church in Mecca is my dream.
