The MailOnline reported on Monday that California artist Mark Thaler was selling the gay marriage nativity tree ornaments on Zazzle.com and feature either two men or two women instead of Mary and Joseph. “Not everyone’s viewpoints are the same. People need to coexist and not judge one another,” Thaler said, claiming that the ornaments shouldn’t offend Christians because “it’s just an image.”
“They [Christians] need to focus on themselves and not worry about what everyone else is doing,” he asserted, speaking abotu the about the two Josephs and the two Marys. Christian Concern Chief Executive Andrea Williams, however, is accusing Thaler of creating the same-sex marriage themed nativity as part of a “blasphemous attempt to rewrite the Christmas story.” READ MORE
The problem with that is that you make the nativity out to be a fairytale. When you change fact to suit your own lifestyle, you’re actually affecting everyone else around you, and quite frankly offending those that cleave to the Christmas story. The Christmas story is a historical fact. How would your parents feel if you started referring to them as a gender different to who they are. What an offense and a total lack of respect. Please don’t make us gender irrelevant because you want to live differently.
This is a disgrace and disrespectful. People need to leave the truth alone and quit trying to change it to make themselves feel better.
What a shame. Certainly nothing in the Bible supports this. As the Bible says his word will never change. Be careful of making a mockery of Jesus. Our father only begotten son.
Me. Thaler is correct; we shouldn’t judge each other. However, what he doesn’t understand, is that God has already judged sin. We’re not judging when we point out a sin to others. The judging already took place. God’s word says homosexuality is an abomination to God. All si is against God. The fact that society has embraced a certain sin doesn’t suddenly make it right. What God called sin three thousand years ago, is still sin. I hope Mr. Thaler gets his heart right with God. Why us it that gays, atheists, radical Muslims try to force their beliefs on Christians and Jews when all we want is to be able to worship our God. Thaler and his ilk crave attention and controversy, thus, it is why they do what they do. If they received no media, or press attention, it would not even be an issue. But we also know that the liberal press and media in this country will cover trash like this, to get the population stirred up. But no…….there is no conspiracy here!?
If these same sex parent nativity scene statues were made not offend homosexuals, why has it only popped up this year rather than in past years? Why has the maker of these statues twisted history into what was intended to be something that mocks traditional values? If these were created to put an end to one minority group being offended, then these were a stupid idea. This ‘artist’ has offended not just one group. This does not just mock an average citizen who is pro-traditional marriage, but also mocks anyone who worships the Christian God, that’s Catholics, Protestants, Lutherans, Anglicans, Evangelicals, and all Christian denominations. All in all, it is sickening, and not natural in any way, because the purpose of marriage is to bring forth children, and two homosexuals cannot do that in any way. Mr. Thaler, if you want to live differently, then isolate yourself with these sacrilegious objects so that you do not offend any more people.
