The 11 a.m. update on Hurricane Matthew shows the storm will move farther away from the North Carolina coast. Wednesday’s 5 a.m. update first showed the storm moving east, away from the Carolinas. That trend continued a day after models had the hurricane hitting North Carolina as a Category 2 hurricane early Saturday morning.
